"Retirement Counselling" is intended for retiring employees and managers, or those considering early retirement or part-time working.
The aim is firstly to create transparency regarding future income and expenditure, and secondly to identify opportunities for active retirement:
After moving on from an active career, how and where can an employee get involved in voluntary activities? And which of these activities would the employee be interested in?
What kind of tasks does he want to, and would he be able to, take on? (for example, voluntary work, involvement in social services provision – from refugee aid to involvement in sports and leisure clubs, or a cultural institution).
As a result, the employee gains clarity about his "retirement" prospects and all the possible implications. He recognises the opportunities retirement can offer and has a plan for future activities during the third phase of his life.
