In Separations and dismissals, there is often too little attention on: The effects the process has on the remaining employees, who are disconcerted to lose colleagues and secretly question what will happen with the business or whether they might be next. However, if the company deals responsibly with all the redundant colleagues as well as the other employees, it will increase trust in the business and prevent demotivating the remaining team. Transparency and open, plausible communication will help the business to gain an understanding for its situation and to prevent an otherwise damaging threat to its image.
