Assessment refers to the process of recording and evaluating competency, personal and social skills for professionals and executives. An assessment centre is a work force selection procedure to single out the most suitable applicant for new appointments. Solid preparation will determine the success. Assessments are also used as part of HR development projects. Here, presentation, conflict discussion, role play and case studies are prevailing components. For top- managers or high-potentials individual assessments are mostly used. In contrast to the selection assessment, the development assessment offered by VBLP is concerned with exploring existing potentials as well as possible future opportunities.
