Causes and reasons for a Dismissal

The education is excellent, the performance is right, and on top of that the employee is in their prime of life - and yet one day they find a letter of dismissal on their desk. This is disconcerting however, it should in no way undermine the value of one's individual personality. After all, in many cases, a dismissal has little or nothing to do with one's work capacity. Markets change, management does not react in time, suddenly the company performs worse than before: staff reductions are needed to get back on its feet. The company is sold, merged with another company, an investor gets involved. Again, in those situations, dismissals are often the consequence. Or the chemistry between supervisor and employee is simply not right (anymore). All of these are reasons for dismissal. There is only one recommendation here: analyse the reasons dispassionately, do not take the dismissal personally, renew your awareness of your own capabilities aided by professional, neutral assistance (e.g. outplacement consulting) and then re-start, strengthened with a new sense of determination.
